£15m of public sector and government campaigns are on offer for regional PR agencies as the COI (Central Office of Information) reviews its roster of agencies.
It set up a framework in 2004 for use over a maximum of four years which was set up to allow agencies to compete for work without going through a lengthy procurement process for every contract. “This region is the home to a number of experienced and talented PR agencies, and this is a great opportunity for them to work on exciting public sector projects,” explained Eileen Jones, COI regional director of news and PR in the North West. “For successful agencies this could bring in new clients and work on high profile campaigns which really make a difference to people’s lives, from health and education to welfare rights.” As well as agencies who can communicate nationally and to the nations and regions they are after specialists in healthcare, environment and sport. The will chose agencies on the expertise and experience of the company and its staff, quality of service, financial soundness, creativity, and pricing structure.
All suppliers interested in applying for the PR framework should go to www.coi.bravosolution.com from 29 May and complete the pre-qualification questionnaire by 1 July 2008. Questions about the framework can be sent via the website, and questions and answers relevant to all applicants will be published online. Suppliers should not telephone queries to COI direct.
