Manchester design consultancy Truth has celebrated its first birthday with the appointment of a new account director and a major new piece of business.
Jo Scott has joined the consultancy having spent the past seven years at B2B agency Cicero in Manchester. Cicero was acquired by the acquisitive London marketing services group Gyro in the spring.
The company has also just won the business of SigmaKalon, an international producer of decorative and industrial paints. SigmaKalon is owned by the US venture capital firm Bain. The company’s brands include Johnstone’s and Leyland paints.
Truth has started developing trade and consumer campaigns and will be helping to launch a new brand for the company in the autumn.
Other recent Truth account gains include the Manchester Vs Cancer relaunch and the rebrand of Cheshire cosmetic surgery provider, Medi-Spa to MySpa as that company seeks to open new centres beyond its northern heartland. The competiton in the sector is also hotting up with the re-emergence of John Ryan (the founder of market leader Transform) and his new cosmetic surgery venture.
