Bolton design agency Absolute Media has its foot on the gas, while at the same time learning the emergency stop with 2 new contracts.
The first is the development of passyourdrivingtest.co.uk a site which aims to help 17-24 year-olds learn how to pass their test. It will include theory and hazard perception tests and an interactive road signs quiz. “We have been briefed to come up with a website that is not only ground breaking, but also goes further than just getting a learner driver through the tough DSA driving test,” said director Chris Hodgen. “We wanted to make young drivers better and more responsible drivers as well. That is why we have created and developed a new Pass your Test online TV channel as part of the website. The TV channel will include a 30 minute TV programme every month, covering serious topics such as drink driving, drug driving and mobile phone use etc as well a product reviews and driving related news.” The second contract sees Absolute produce a video to help the Jenson Buttons and Lewis Hamiltons of the future. The Motor Sport Association has contracted them to make a 30 minute film at Silverstone to be released in January next year. It’s part of a revamp of race driver training in the UK. “It will be a challenge, but it is made easier by my knowledge and passion of motor sport,” continued Hodgen. “It is the first time we have worked with the MSA and so far they have been impressed with our work, so much so we have been briefed with a second job of developing a website that will form a base for a new web based training structure."
