Appointments: Citypress Weber Shandwick Mills Media

A round up of North West agency appointments sees Citypress bring in Alex Barnett from Lloyds Banking Group as its new account director.

It means the financial team at the Manchester-based PR agency now numbers 10.

Barnett was the media relations manager for the Lloyds Group, supporting the Halifax, Lloyds TSB and Bank of Scotland brands.

“We’re  seeing consistent growth  across the agency and particularly within our finance practice, where we handle a range of business and consumer briefs.  Alex is an important addition to our expanding team as we extend our offering into the personal finance sector,” explained managing director, Charles Tattersall.

Claire McLauchlin will work primarily in the corporate team, having joined the firm from PPS.

“Claire has a natural flair for media relations and her public affairs knowledge is second to none. We’re delighted to have her on board and she has already become an invaluable member of the team,” said managing director Jo Leah.

Appointments Citypress Weber Shandwick Mills MediaIn Wirral, Mills Media has brought in web and graphic designer Phil Kiel, who’s a specialist in Java, Flash, Wordpress and Adobe CS3.
 
“We set up the website design and development service in July last year and it has been steadily growing since,” said Andrew Mills, managing director.

“We have appointed Phil to lead the department so we can continue to provide a 360 degree package for our clients.”
