The Liverpool office of Bell Pottinger North is set to hold two seminars which it believes can "help businesses on Merseyside win in the recession."
Clein: teaching you not to trip up As you might expect from a PR agency these are set to offer words of wisdom on the media - rather than resuscitating your decimated stock portfolio - and in particular how it has evolved in line with an on demand audience. The first session will examine digital mediums and how to secure business in an “age of reference and distrust”, while the second looks at the news media channels and how to work with them. Agency director Richard Clein said of the initiative: "We now live in an age of reference in which peer endorsement is the most effective form of marketing. "We will show how you can effectively increase your win rate by using your satisfied customers as an extended sales team." He continued: “With an ever changing media, where news breaks 24/7, our team can show how you can build a reputation for your business and products by connecting with the right media in the right way and at the right time. “It never ceases to amaze me how many people – whether a politician or business leader – trip up when the camera is rolling. This is an opportunity to make sure it never happens to you.” The events will take place at 9.30am on 15 and 16 July at The Racquet Club in Liverpool.
