Bentley Motors in Cheshire has taken what it says is a unique step by using the internet to reveal its latest model.
The luxury car manufacturer has built a microsite to host the worldwide unveiling of the new ContinentalGT, which will go live at 15.00 on Tuesday 7th September for a week.
It says it will be filmed to bring the similar “drama” of a formal motor show. Potential customers (and jealous onlookers) will then be able to take a series of virtual tours of the car by selecting from a range of camera angles and distances.
“We look forward to the moment the cameras are switched on and sharing the new Continental GT with enthusiasts across the world,” said Dirk van Braeckel, Bentley’s design director and the man behind the styling of the first Continental GT coupe in 2003.
Since 2003, 22k Continental GT models have been shipped.
Bentley has, over the summer, increased its marketing spend in the UK and worldwide, with Connect looking over its dealer marketing in Europe and Performance PR running its Middle East communications.

What a massive fail. Almost an hour after the big 'launch' and the site is chugging away rather slowly failing to load.
