Regional supermarket chain Booths has confirmed to How-Do that it is reviewing its relationship with McCann Erickson in Prestbury as it looks to refresh its marketing.
The firm, which is known as a champion of local produce, is led by Edwin Booth – the man recently a judged to be atop the pile of the region’s finest 100 marketers – and has been a family firm since its creation in 1847. It now boasts 25 stores across the region. Reports have suggested that the Preston-based company has already shortlisted four agencies in the review and this was confirmed by a spokesperson yesterday. McCanns is believed to be one of the four. The review does not affect the other agency suppliers to Booths, such as Cumbrian PR agency Osprey Communications. A decision on the business is scheduled for next month. http://www.booths-supermarkets.co.uk/ Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
