Brawn GP merchandising task drives into Origin with Henri Lloyd | Print |  Email to a friend

Cheadle's Origin has welcomed one of the most exciting names in the sporting world into its client winning enclosure, with the news that it has been appointed to promote the new merchandise range for Formula 1 sensation Brawn GP.

Brawn, set up and spearheaded by former Ferrari technical director Ross Brawn, is currently mounting what looks like an insurmountable points tally in the sport's constructors title, while British driver Jensen Button is leaving his contemporaries choking on his exhaust fumes with six wins out of seven in the 2009 season.

Keen to exploit this growing brand equity the team is now branching out into the merchandise arena with its official clothing and footwear supplier Henri Lloyd.

Origin has been brought on board to produce the launch marketing material for the Brawn range after recently establishing a relationship as Lloyd's UK retail agency.

This will include producing a flagship brochure, a lifestyle advertising campaign and integrated merchandise and retail support materials.

In addition Origin's creative team will also be spearheading Henri Lloyd's in-store promotional campaigns and providing retail support.

Agency creative director Mark Bottomley said: "We’re speechless.

"It’s rare that an opportunity arises to work with either of these fantastic brands. The fact that we’re working with both of them is a testament to the high standards we’ve set ourselves lately.”

Origin began working with Henri Lloyd following on from a competitive pitch in April.

In May the team also picked up the branding task for the Rally of Scotland.
