Nick Brookes, the managing director of BDH\TBWA, the region’s second largest ad agency, is leaving the agency together with two senior creatives Gary Hulme and Chris Lear.

The news has surprised the region’s ad community although since publication of an interview with How-Do earlier this year , a number of industry pundits have questioned just how long the agency would stick with a chief executive and a managing director.

Chief executive Robert Harwood-Matthews moved north to head up the Didsbury agency in the summer of 2006.

BDH didn’t wish to comment on the story beyond saying consultation with all concerned was still underway.
