Bruntwood has announced Kate Harrison is to replace Simon Scott as marketing director at the company. Harrison, who is 40 years old, is about to complete a term as interim chief executive at Cityco, Manchester’s city centre management company.
Scott left Bruntwood after many years at the property company to seek a change of career and lifestyle. And he seems to have found it with a new job at Calgary Zoo…
Harrison Harrison has over 15 years experience in marketing and general management working with Sainsbury’s, Mars and most recently as group marketing director for Manchester Airports Group.
Bruntwood has extensive commercial property interests primarily in Manchester and Liverpool but growing interests in Leeds and Birmingham. In total, the company has 90 buildings across the four cities and over 1,000 companies as their tenants. It is believed that the company owns circa one in four sq ft of city centre Manchester space.
Chris Oglesby, Bruntwood’s chief executive, said: “I am delighted to welcome Kate to the team. As we take the Bruntwood brand, with its long term investment perspective and focus on the customer, into a wider national marketplace, it is essential that we are fully articulating the benefits which our unique business model offers to investors and customers alike.
"Kate is a very talented marketer, and her experience will be invaluable as we roll out the brand in our established cities and beyond.”
