Tangerine - or Twangerine - is the latest PR agency to jump on the Twitter phenomenon.
Yes, the craze, which is kind of free text messaging for grown-ups, who want to be like kids, but with Blackberries, has exploded over recent months and T(w)angerine now have a Twitter cloud.
They’ve built a page to bring all their individual tweets together into one monster twit (possibly not the right word):
"VickiLamb: is off to the gym! fun times! 53 minutes ago via web
AmyLouiseGuest: is loving twangerine! http://www.twangerine.com about an hour ago via web
KarenLAdams: is deciding what to make for tea? about an hour ago via web
AmyLouiseGuest: is debating whether to go to spin class! about an hour ago via web
leebloor: Tangerine has gone Twitter crazyyyy, visit http://www.twangerine.com about an hour ago via web
MarieCCarter: is off to the CIPR AGM... about an hour ago via web"
Russell Hirst, Tangerine’s head of digital, created the script to allow multiple accounts to update the same page, which is then embedded within the website.
"We've always been all about our people - so instead of having one corporate Twitter profile we wanted to give everybody a voice and enable them to tweet individually as part of a collective," said Hirst.
"We're finding that we're using Twitter and other social networking tools more and more - both internally and to communicate with journalists and bloggers."
And in a neat and completely subtle segue, How-Do is also a fully fledged twit now - as you've probably known for some time. So you can follow us here.

I agree with Bored. This is a classic example of 'Look at us, we're on Twitter!' instead of actually doing something innovative and fresh yourselves. It's just so transparently derivative, and quite damaging to the company when you let junior members of staff twitter inanely in public. Let's hear no more until you've got something to say.
Oooooooooh get her! Put your name to your comments Tangerine staffer.
Have you not seen that article on how NOT to react to comments on blogs:

Oh cheer up everyone. I know it's Friday but it will be summer soon!
If it doesn't work and makes them silly and they all lose their jobs, then you can happy and satisfied. I bet it won't matter.
Gin anyone?
Exactly the kind of prattling nonsense that gives Twitter a reputation for self-absorbed inanity.
If you're serious about using Twitter to help Tangerine, your staff should be utilising its unprecedented capacity for skills and knowledge transfer on a global level, building contacts and engaging with the expertise that will allow you to stay on top of digital marketing trends and developments next time, not trailing in their wake.
If you simply want to run an in-house dialogue about what everyone had for lunch, try something like Yammer. Better still, shout across the office. Anything to prevent it being inflicted on us.
If you take the time to read the story before jumping on your high horse, it states: "instead of having one corporate Twitter profile we wanted to give everybody a voice and enable them to tweet individually as part of a collective."
Granted, most marketing agencies ARE already using Twitter, but most marketing agencies DON'T have a separate cloud. Twit.
Gin sounds good!
Happy Friday How-Doers.
I think it gives the agency a personality. Why don't you get one?
It's just a bit of fun!
UPDATE: Amy DID go to spin class and Karen and chicken and pasta for tea... Now you can sleep easy.
I'm not quite over all the hype about Twitter, I dont think it will ever substitute for PR people communicating with and building strong relationships with journalists, etc, and all the variety of brands and companies that have started using Twitter, I don't think its the best way to communicate to potential consumers.
Zzzzzz... So what? Get with teh times already. Many marketing agencies are already using Twitter, they don't make a big song and dance over it wasting pixel space.
