Check Point, a US/Israeli company specialising in ‘securing the internet’ has appointed Context PR in Macclesfield to manage its UK public relations, following a three way pitch.
The company is headquartered in Tel Aviv but is largely run out of the States. The company is listed on NASDAQ and employs over 1500 people world wide. Its UK base is in Basingstoke.
Check Point focuses on network security, data security and security management solutions for businesses. The company is well known for its award winning ZoneAlarm consumer security solutions which are used in millions of consumer PCs, helping to keep out hackers, spyware and preventing data theft worldwide.
Context has been tasked with managing the company’s UK media relations programme and specifically to raise awareness of the company, targeting both specialist IT and consumer media. Check Point has previously retained different agencies for different aspects of its business. It is the first time that it has appointed a single UK agency to handle the media relations for its entire UK operations.
Context’s managing director Frank Smith said: “Check Point is a world leader in IT security and we are privileged to be associated with such a prestigious company.”
