Brother, the Japanese international technology manufacturer, has appointed Citypress as its UK PR consultancy.
From its roots as a sewing machine manufacturer in the early 1900s, Brother has grown to become a leading worldwide supplier of print output devices.
 Brother has its UK headquarters in Manchester and it employs over 750 people in the UK. Citypress is advising Brother on its UK PR strategy in partnership with its affiliate, Edelman Technology, and has been tasked by the company with creating and managing a communications programme that targets resellers, end users and vertical markets.Staniforth has confirmed that its contract with office technology manufacturer Brother ceased at the end of March 2007.
Emma Chadwick, managing director of Staniforth, said: "Staniforth has enjoyed a long and successful relationship with Brother UK and Brother International Europe.
"During seven years' working together we have delivered award-winning campaigns and, in the last three months of 2006, we delivered a record quarter for PR coverage.
"However, we recognise that relationships don't last forever and that change is an inevitable part of consultancy work. We are continuing to win business including Tizer, Marshall Ward, Vileda, Babylon NG mobile phone technologies and Intellitect Water Limited all coming on board in the last couple of months and a strong flow of new enquiries in the pipeline."
