Clear Channel Outdoor UK (CCO) has restructured its regional sales operation, so that other UK regions will now have their own sales teams, rather than all outside London business being sold from Manchester.
The new operation will be headed up by John Keane, group head agency sales, Jackie Broadhurst, group head specialist regional training and Alison Smith, group head national specialist sales. The changes come into effect from 1 June.
The regional team previously worked out of CCO’s Manchester office and travelled across the country covering both direct and agency sales.
CCO said the “new structure reflects our commitment to investing in the regions and increasing local knowledge and support for agencies and clients.
“Our new regional structure will consist of account managers allocated to client sales, regional agencies and regional poster specialists. The agency/client team will generate new business into the market and the specialist team will negotiate through our traditional revenue points. We will also create a team to service the national poster specialist regional buyers.
“Our aim is to serve local markets as efficiently and effectively as regional press and local radio. We have increased our headcount and now have nine regional roles to improve our empathy with local markets at different points in the buying system.” CCO's Manchester School House is the company's head office for all regional sales and development business outside London. There are 29 staff based in Manchester. The new offices will house additional sales staff. CCO said that the restructure will, in fact, see headcount rise at Manchester with the new greater focus on developing and enabling regional sales.
CCO markets itself as the UK’s market leader in outdoor advertising. Its Adshel brand claims 65% of the roadside 6 sheet poster sites.
