The Central Office of Information is to establish a new roster of regional agencies, which will be managed by their Regional Client Account Team.
They say they’ve made the move to "better meet the needs of its clients" by allowing them to access agencies with more regional insight.
At the moment, the regional marketing teams use existing COI frameworks and preferred supplier lists in each region. That means clients don’t go through lengthy procurements for every contract, although it has meant a fair bit of work for potential suppliers to get on those lists. The new format will mean Regional Integrated Agencies will include companies that can provide advertising, direct marketing, design/branding, digital and PR. "We are seeing an increased demand for our services from clients based outside of London. While COI’s existing frameworks include agencies drawn from across the UK, some clients would like to access agencies with unique insight into regional audiences," said Phil Fraser, head of COI Regional Client Account Team. Companies interested in applying for the RIA frameworks need to complete the pre-qualification questionnaire on the COI's tendering website . Something to add?
