A series of events are being launched by Creative Lancashire to help business exploit new technologies.
Held at University of Central Lancashire's, The Sandbox, the Hyphen series is designed to show what opportunities can exist. Creative Lancashire was set up in 2006 by Lancashire County Council. Director Ruth Raban explained: Hyphen “The unrelenting pace of technological change is redefining the way we do business, bringing a wealth of opportunity. Future technologies, emerging creative business models and media convergence will affect companies over the next 5 years, however, a lack of knowledge in these areas could be a real threat to organisations. "Through Hyphen we aim to overcome this by supporting our local creative businesses in making that quantum leap into these new digital territories”. The first event takes place on July 2nd with Skive MD Sean Singleton, Stuart Nolan of Hex Induction and Dom Raban, Corporation Pop director who’ll be demonstrating Second Life. To register for the event, contact Mary Tabbron on freephone 0800 977 6027; email events@creativelancashire.org or visit www.creativelancashire.org/hyphen.
