Creative Lynx has picked up the contract to provide place and corporate marketing campaigns for the North Northants Development Company (NNDC), in a brief that is set to be worth in excess of £1m to the Manchester-based design firm.
The NNDC is the urban regeneration body charged with driving growth across the districts of Corby, East Northamptonshire, Kettering and Wellingborough - a stomping ground set to see considerable development over the next 15 years thanks to its tag as one of the key Government Growth Areas. Creative Lynx has been brought on board, following a competitive tender process, to deliver a place marketing push 'to improve North Northamptonshire’s image and promote the area and the towns within it as a place to live, work and visit.' This will be affected through a three-year long campaign that looks to promote the area's 'family of locations' as one attractive place proposition. Under this direction it has been proposed that individual towns will retain their identities but be promoted in a similar style, followed by the 'family' name of Northamptonshire.Creative Lynx's brief will be all encompassing, stretching out over brand development, copy writing, web design, direct mail, media relations and project management. In addition it will handle a corporate marketing task ,including the production of newsletters, annual reports and other promotional materials. The agency has a successful history in the domain of place branding, having worked with Blackburn and Preston in the past. The team also has a history of working with the NNDC - the relationship reaches back over the past four years - and created the www.moreincorby.co.uk website, as well as the standalone Corby branding. Creative Lynx director Steve Nicholas told How-Do: "It’s great to be able to continue our work in Northamptonshire. "We’ve worked across the UK with numerous towns, cities and regions and this win demonstrates that our approach has been successful in delivering tangible results and great creativity for our clients.” He also imparted that the team would be working alongside London-based PR outfit ING Media and Lymm's Breeze Strategy on the task. The agency's agreement with the NNDC will now be place for up to the next three years. www.nndev.co.uk www.creativelynx.co.uk Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
