Dougal Paver has announced that he's stepped down from a number of high profile committee posts, including the Liverpool Vision board to concentrate on Paver Smith.
The agency has seen tremendous growth over the past year, including the purchase of Pazang and Factory.
Paver told How-Do that this was taking up more of his time:
“Something had to give, it wasn’t going to be my family, or my business, so it had to be the ‘extracurricular’ activities.”
He has resigned from Liverpool Vision, the Liverpool branch of Forum for the Built Environment and the development committee of Tate Liverpool.
Vision board
It may go some way to calm comments from competitors in the immediate aftermath of the Shanghai World Expo win - which is managed by Liverpool Vision.
Although agencies have since conceded that the decision was made entirely honestly and without Paver’s input.
When asked about the timing of the decision to stand aside, How-Do was told it was nothing to do with Liverpool Vision:
“I’m up to my eyes in building the business and also getting the new Manchester office bedded in.”
