E.ON appoint MediaVest’s MVi
Leading power and gas company E.On has appointed MediaVest’s digital division MVi to manage its search engine marketing (SEM).

The appointment is immediate, following a pitch against six other digital agencies. MVi had to demonstrate how E.ON could maximise customer acquisition and retention in residential and SME markets.

"MVi impressed us with their strategic insight and their investment in systems and people," explained Arslan Sharif, head of propositions & e-commerce at E.ON.

"They clearly demonstrated an understanding of how online consumers search for energy providers, and their leading edge accountability suite offers real benefits to our business."

"Utilities must promote consumer confidence and enhance brand experience." added Charles Reid, MediaVest strategy director.

"With search engines now considered more reliable than recommendations from friends or family, it is vital E.ON’s search strategy reflects the evolving consumer journey. We intend to maximise return while helping position E.ON in it’s rightful place as one of the UK’s leading energy providers."
