The latest recruit for Hale’s Peppermint PR has been short-listed for a national broadcast journalism award following her work investigating the traumas caused by eating disorders.
Hogarth Kirsty Hogarth has joined Peppermint, which recently launched a digital division, following on from a journalism degree at The University of Sheffield.During her time there she created a radio piece on eating disorders, centred on the experience of Blackpool’s Hayley Wilde who, despite suffering from severe anorexia for 10 years, fought her way to recovery and gave birth to a son earlier this year. As a result of this Hogarth has now been short-listed by trade title Press Gazette in the (student) broadcast journalist of the year category. Suzy Glaskie, Peppermint PR’s MD, said of Hogarth: “We’re extremely proud of Kirsty’s achievement in being short listed for a national award, and are delighted to have her considerable broadcasting talents on our team.” Peppermint PR has scored numerous screen inches on How-Do this year, through its successes with Lovehearts, Home Bargains and the expansion of the agency. www.peppermintpr.com
