Phil Howells, one of the founders of Manchester-based ad agency Pravda, has joined Wilmslow’s The Raft in the role of creative director.
Howells Howells left Pravda in December last year and was recently introduced to Raft founders Shaun Keefe and Phil Storton by ex-BDH man Roger Ward, now the owner of legendary drinking den Sam’s Chophouse. As the agency’s previous CD Mark Gass had recently left the firm the two wasted no time in making Howells an offer and the rest, as they say, is history (or rather news on How-Do). Storton said of his new recruit: “This is a fantastic coup for The Raft, Phil has an incredible portfolio of work and will without doubt add significant value to the business and our clients alike. “We will be the one to watch over the coming months.” Howells has 23 years of experience in advertising, including 19 years at London agencies and four years with Pravda. He will now be working with a portfolio of clients that includes BUPA, AGFA, Wine Cellar, Lex Vehicle Leasing and Good Natured fruit juice. www.theraft.co.uk Something to add?
