Fido PR, which celebrated its fifth birthday last week has recruited Kate Jones and Laura Sefton to its team.
Jones joins from Brazen and will head up a new account team while Sefton, previously with Twentyfour 7, joins as an account executive.
Jones The agency has also picked up some new accounts including Lend Lease Retail which has tasked the agency with managing media relations for its newly revamped Golden Square Shopping Centre in Warrington.
Other pieces of new business include Manchester communications company K2 Group and two projects from Salford and Stockport councils. The former to help the council secure Heritage Lottery Funding for the restoration of Ordsall Hall and the latter to help create the ‘My Place’ community awards scheme.
Although Fido doesn’t state it, winning work from Stockport council is an achievement given its head of communications Iain Ratcliffe must be the most awarded PR practitioner in the UK!
Ratcliffe co-incidentally is married to the MEN’s head of corporate affairs Elaine Darbyshire.
