Liverpool creative agency Finch has won a creative pitch to deliver the brand identity for two international badminton events which are being held in Liverpool and Manchester in 2009 and 2010.

Finch pitched against several London agencies to secure the business.

Liverpool creative agency Finch has won a creative pitch to deliver the brand identity for two international badminton events which are being held in Liverpool and Manchester in 2009 and 2010.
The two events are the European Mixed Team Badminton Championships which will be held in Liverpool at the Echo Arena in February 2009 and the Individual European Championships a year later at the MEN Arena in Manchester.

Adrian Hill, head of communications of Badminton England said: “The North West is without doubt a key sporting region, which will provide the perfect stage to expose the excitement of Badminton to new and existing audiences. The game at this level is extremely dynamic – fast, agile players at the top of their games, competing for major medals”.

“Holding the event in two locations over two years has presented a challenge in terms of how we communicate and promote the Championships so we needed to develop this with an external agency which has the right branding experience.”
