Flame, a digital agency with offices in Manchester and Prague, is moving to new offices in Manchester as it expands on the back of several new projects including work for Amcat and PA Sport.

The agency, set up three years ago by Dom Rodwell and Jim Fuller, is moving to a 2,850 sq ft office in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. The agency currently employs 15 staff of whom three, including Fuller, are based in Prague. Creative and marketing is run out of Manchester while the Prague office manages the technical aspects of the operation.

Rodwell told How-Do that turnover this year is expected to exceed £1m on the back of primarily existing clients increasing their spend with the agency.

New projects include the UK and, in due course continental, promotional roll out of new products for the US contact/call centre software manufacturer Amcat. Amcat runs its European HQ out of Trafford Park.  The integrated campaign will include offline mail shots, an email campaign, SEO activities and a micro site.

new projects including work for Amcat and PA Sport.
PA Sport
PA Sport, a long standing client of Flame, has been keeping the agency busy too with a number of projects including the launch of what Rodwell calls ‘Scorecard’ – an initiative which monitors the amount of live coverage of sports events that PA is physically covering. Flame also recently relaunched the Yorkshire-based company’s web site.

Rodwell said although the agency was established as a digital agency, an increasing number of people are asking the agency to produce ‘traditional’ press advertising. Rodwell said that “This is fine as long as it’s part of an overall integrated campaign.”

He is keen to ensure that his agency remains digitally focused.
