Former journo Jason Green joins Oakbase

Chester marketing agency Oakbase has recruited former journalst Jason Green as an account manager in its PR operation in Chester.

Green joins Oakbase from Liverpool PR agency Paver Smith where he managed a team of three execs.

Green began his career at the Liverpool Echo before moving to London where he became a shift news reporter for News International on both the Sun and The Times.

He moved back to Liverpool to join Mercury Press as news editor prior to changing direction with a move into PR.

Oakbase employs 30 staff. Clients include TJ Hughes and Moneysupermarket.com.

Oakbase director, Paul Mizon said: “Jason is top drawer appointment. His pedigree as a former award winning journalist and as a top account manager with another successful agency will become immediately evident to our clients.”
