Golley Slater PR has signed all of its 58 staff up for membership of the CIPR, and in doing so set a record for the largest one off sign-up to the industry organisation.
The agency, which has ten other offices alongside its Manchester operation, apparently looked into a range of industry bodies, but decided that the CIPR met their group and individual needs better than rival organisations. Agatha Chapman-Poole, head of Golley Slater Manchester, explained: “Our people are the business and we reviewed many options but felt the CIPR gave the right level of professional development support. The CIPR’s Continuous Professional Development scheme will provide all our staff with the desired staff training framework. "As far as Golley Slater is concerned, membership of the CIPR is equally important for staff and clients. “Our staff benefit from developing their professional skills and knowledge at a pace to suit them while working towards Accredited Practitioner status. We benefit from having a highly-skilled team of people and our clients are assured that they have people with the right level of training and knowledge working on their accounts. Membership ensures real credibility." CIPR assistant director-general and head of membership Paul Roberts added: "It is a great pleasure to welcome Golley Slater's Manchester team as part of our biggest single group signing, into CIPR membership.” www.golleyslater.co.uk
