Hasgrove merges Connectpoint, Amaze and Pavilion
Hasgrove PLC is bringing the 3 companies together to create one of the UK’s largest digital agencies with a combined turnover of around £14m. The new business will be called Amaze and the rebrand will take place on 15 September.

75% of the 170 staff will move to a new head office in Manchester, while the rest will move to new premises nearer Liverpool.

Connectpoint’s Nick Bradshaw will join Liane Grimshaw (Pavilion), Natalie Gross (Amaze) and Mike Johnson (Amaze) as managing partners of the company.

“This is a hugely exciting opportunity for us as the merger now creates one of the biggest, most robust marketing companies to emerge in the region in the last ten years,” said Bradshaw.

Amaze
“We operate in a maturing but high growth marketplace and we genuinely believe that by combining digital and business expertise with solid skills in traditional marketing services, we will be able to offer clients the rounded approach to marketing and technology that is vital in today’s rapidly changing business landscape.”

Over the next two years, Hasgrove is aiming to build Amaze into a leading European brand, initially through acquisitions in London, France and Germany.

“We are very confident that combining the communication skills of its constituent companies into the new Amaze will deliver strong synergies and create a major player within the UK digital marketplace,” explained Rod Hyde, Hasgrove CEO.

“The combination of the three businesses will also provide our growing list of international clients with a more comprehensive and sophisticated range of marketing communications solutions.”

Pavilion and Amaze were bought last year, while Connectpoint has been part of the group since March 2005.

In total the 3 companies reported a 44% increase in revenue to 6.2 million pounds in the year to end-December 2007.

Hagrove PLC specializes in public affairs and Corporate Communications, Digital Communication Services and Design.

Amaze’s clients include The Cooperative Group, Greater London Authority, Lexus, The National Lottery, Northern Rail, ODEON Cinemas, Siemens Enterprise Communications and Toyota Europe.
