Cosmetics company Purely Mineral, based in Heysham, has design consultancy 999 Design to
redevelop its brand identity.

Last month, the 18 month old Lancashire company won a business competition arranged by BT. The competition was publicising the UK’s next generation of entrepreneurs and up-and-coming SMEs.

Cosmetics company Purely Mineral, based in Heysham, has design consultancy 999 Design to
Purely Mineral targets the natural cosmetics market which it is claimed is growing at almost 15% a year in the UK.

The company sells its range of mineral-based foundations, eye and lip colours, blush and make-up applicators online via its website www.purely-mineral.co.uk and through the TV shopping channel, Ideal World.

Allison Gannon, managing director of Purely Mineral, said: “At Purely Mineral we understand that many women lack confidence about their appearance. We sell a wide and varied range of completely natural cosmetics that have been designed with the modern British woman in mind and excellent customer service is vital to our success.

“We are delighted with the creative approach 999 has shown in coming up with our eye-catching new brand, which better reflects who we are as a business. We have projected sales to rise by 70 % in our second year and having a recognisable image across our product range will be vitally important in achieving this and in continuing to build our customer base.”

It is not known if other agencies were invited to pitch for the business against 999 Manchester.

999 Design employs 45 staff across its offices in Manchester, Glasgow and London.
