The Helping Uganda Schools charity, otherwise known as HUGS, is being given some free TLC by Manchester-based creative agency Taylor O’Brien.
New look HUGS HUGS was formed as a project in 1995, and registered as a charity in 2003, to help provide education for children in Uganda. It has since built two schools – including the first special needs school in the western part of the country – and assists with the running of another. HUGS is currently attempting to raise funds to build a secondary school in Mubende, where 90 per cent of primary school leavers have no secondary school to attend. Taylor O’Brien has stepped in to donate its services to support the organisation’s laudable objectives and raise awareness of its campaigns. This has so far seen the agency working to create a new identity, website and associated promotional materials. Helen Taylor, creative director at the firm, said that it was “a huge pleasure and privilege” to be involved with supporting the charity. www.taylorobrien.co.uk
