New Manchester design company I'm has been awarded a contract to rebrand Patchword, the Welsh luxury food company.
I’m – well that’s the name we’ve chosen, they don’t really seem to like names very much - is an agency that sprung from failure, according to art director and former giraffe keeper, Jeremy Waite. Setting up with £30 and a laptop after their former agency closed, they won three major accounts in the first two months of trading. Pate This is their latest project, which involves designing all the print and packaging for the range of pates. They will launch at the Fancy Food Show in New York later this month and they’ll hit the shelves in September. The unique design of the packaging, means that if all the boxes are pieced together in a glass fronted freezer, they make a Patchword picture. “This project shows that design can make a difference to customer attitudes and sales. The last thing we needed was new packaging just for the sake of it, but this exercise shows that it is wise to invest in design, even in such a tough economic climate and we are delighted with the job I’m have done for us,” said Patchworks’ director Jenny Whitham, Something to add?
