Wirral-based marketing agency Ice has appointed three new members of staff on the back of an upturn in business.
The firm, which specialises in public sector marketing, has recently collected the contract for the Department of Health’s ‘National Healthy Schools’ campaign for the third year on the bounce. This, and continued work from clients such as the London Borough of Camden, Merseyside Fire & Rescue and Wirral PCT, has necessitated an increase in staff numbers, with three new recruits being welcomed through the doors in the last two weeks. They are; Jayne Hampson, who joins Ice as marketing manager having previously worked in marketing at Merseyside Police; David Shewring, a recent Masters graduate in Business Management, who takes on a newly created marketing executive post; and Heather Sewell who comes on board from the communications team at The Mersey Partnership as PR exec. MD Stuart Jackson said of the current state of play at Ice: “Business is very good right now, so I’m delighted to be able to add three more talented faces to our team at Ice. “2007 was a year of real success for us and I am now in a position of great confidence that we can continue to expand upon this in 2008.” During 2007 Ice recorded more than a two fold increase in turnover, moving up from revenues of £1m in 2006 to £2.35m in 2007. Staffing levels in the same period subsequently grew from 22 to 35 employees – a 60% increase within the past twelve months. www.icecreates.com
