Wirral-based agency ICE is playing a major part in the launch of the first stage of a £70million leisure development that is set to stimulate the tourist trade in its local area.
The agency has developed the brand, website and portfolio of marketing materials to push the re-opening of the Floral Pavilion’s new theatre, plaza and conference centre.

The Pavilion has been a central feature of Wirral’s New Brighton waterfront for the past century, and its re-development is believed to be equally central to boosting the area’s tourist revenues.

ICE has worked to raise its profile ahead of next month’s gala opening – featuring local comedian Ken Dodd – by creating the new ‘have you scene it?’ brand and an accompanying outdoor advertising push.

The creative team has also designed www.floralpavilion.com to showcase the venue and produced its new suite of brochures.

ICE’s creative director, Ian Jackson, said of the task: “As well as having an illustrious history as an entertainment venue, New Brighton’s Floral Pavilion is a real hub for artistic talent, and it’s great to be working on a project which is so culturally and historically significant, particularly in Liverpool’s Capital of Culture Year.

“We have developed a brand identity that not only reflects the art deco architecture of the building, but is clean, crisp and modern, and will help showcase this important facility for many years to come.”

The redevelopment of the Floral Pavilion is key to the £70million Brand New Brighton project, which will eventually provide a range of leisure, residential and recreational facilities on the River Mersey.
