Preston-based creative agency ICG has just launched its latest campaign for Yorkshire Copper Tube, Europe's largest manufacturer of copper plumbing tube.
The new activity, which runs until 30 June, is aimed at heightening awareness of the brand in the plumbing sector and aims to achieve this with a ‘free van’ promotion. Van-tastic It works as such – plumbers pick up Yorkshire game cards from trade merchants throughout the UK. They are then invited to text in a unique code, with one lucky winner qualifying for a new Ford Connect van.Runners-up prizes include ten DeWalt site radios and 1,000 Yorkshire branded thermal mugs ICG MD Denise Dawson commented: “We know from previous campaigns that plumbers respond well to text-to-win promotions, as most plumbers carry a mobile phone. “It's quick and easy to enter and text messages are only charged at a standard rate, unlike other premium rate competitions." The campaign will be promoted through a range of targeted marketing activities, including PR. This latest activity follows on from previous ICG/Yorkshire campaigns, including a Scratch and Win giveaway competition in 2006 and a Text-to-Win Winter Warmers campaign in 2007. www.icgonline.co.uk Something to add?
