ICG has won the ‘newsletter of the year’ award at the CIB (Communicators in Business) Northern Region Awards 2007.
Couchman, right, getting the gong The firm picked up the accolade for its work on ‘Enterprise Review’, a 12 page newsletter the Preston based team produced on behalf of support service firm Enterprise.Enterprise, which provides maintenance services to utility and public sector firms, charged the agency with creating a publication that communicated corporate issues to its 6,500 strong workforce. ICG apparently responded to the brief with a contemporary design that mixed an informal tone with focused company messages. As ICG’s creative director Simon Couchman commented: "The existing communications channel was an e-news letter. It was very dense in copy and was failing to engage and inform employees about the overall ethos of the company, its vision, goals and development. "We created a which allowed for greater use of photography to give it pace and visual appeal. Bold story headlines also helped guide readers through the various content topics. The tone of the newsletter was changed to be more informal and loose without undermining the more serious business content." www.icgonline.co.uk Something to add?
