Manchester Cathedral will be attracting a very different kind of congregation this Thursday, as ‘global super brand’ Y-3 struts down the aisle with a special preview of its winter collection.
Cat(hedral) walk for Y-3
It’s the first time in the Cathedral’s 600-year history that a fashion show has taken place there – and that can be attributed to the negotiation skills of the team at Manchester’s Impact Media PR.
Impact sourced the location for Y-3, a brand borne out of a collaboration between Adidas and leading Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto, as it felt it complemented the urban, edgy feel of the latest collection.
Paul Patton, agency MD, explained more: “It’s a real coup to bag a first division fashion brand and create a unique event in one of Manchester’s finest buildings.
“As an agency we’re constantly looking to push creative boundaries, so we’ve pulled out all the stops to ensure guests will have a night to remember.”
This will be helped by big screen footage from Y-3’s recent New York catwalk show and music from DJ Xander.
