Copy-writing agency Wordsworks has spread its net far beyond its native Stockport to collect two new client wins.
The firm, set up by professional services journalist Gareth Chadwick in 2003, has been appointed by MindsinMotion.net and XL Foundation. XL is a Singapore based international business association that is looking to Wordsworks to write its first annual sustainability report, looking at its environmental, social and cultural impact. This move has apparently been inspired by the UN-sanctioned Global Reporting Initiative. The MindsinMotion win is an important one for the agency, as it will bring the team the retained task of writing weekly news and features for the Dutch government funded website, which specifically concentrates on issues relating to ‘green’ transport. Wordworks will also provide ad hoc support for the development and branding of the site and associated marketing paraphernalia. Chadwick said of the wins: More and more firms are recognising that they need to communicate their expertise and their brand in a way that reinforces their credibility, not detracts from it. Creating professional, clear and engaging written material is fundamental to that.” Other Wordsworks clients include Eversheds, Foresight Venture Partners, Addleshaw Goddard, Northwest Regional Development Agency and The Independent.
