"Working as a journalist has given me an in-depth knowledge of the media, from how different organisations operate, to what makes an interesting and newsworthy article.

"I have been looking for a fresh challenge that will allow me to use the skills I have developed over the years and I'm really excited to be working with such a talented team here at Impact Media and sharing that knowledge."

The Ancoats’ based company is looking to bring in more clients over the next few months and diversify its PR services.

"It is important to have a team with a good mix of talents. Mike will further strengthen our writing and media relations offer to our clients, and provide a journalistic angle to our service,"  said Fiona Guy, account director at Impact.
