Lindsay and co re-launch Tangerine PR with 'something entirely different' | Print |  Email to a friend
Wednesday, 24 September 2008
Tangerine PR has revealed a new look, branding and website as the 25-strong agency team looks to cement its position in the regional agency hierarchy and use the credit crunch as an opportunity, rather than a challenge.

The firm, set up six years ago by MD Sandy Lindsay, has taken the move as it aims “to continue to stand out in an increasingly quiet marketplace.”

Lindsay said that the way to do this was by being bold in a time of general caution and investing in the agency brand and people.

As a result Crab Creative was brought in to repackage Tangerine as “something entirely different to anything else in the marketplace.”

Lindsay explained: “Our brief to them was to simply refresh our branding but as far as the website was concerned we asked for something unique – something no-one had ever seen before and the team at Crab has definitely delivered.”

The result is a new online presence that focuses on the people at the firm as much as the services on offer, standing out, in the MD’s eyes “within the agency world” and “across the board.”

Crab has also created a new strapline for Tangerine, based on feedback from clients and staff – it is “…a breath of fresh air.”

Lindsay says that the staff have now embraced this “not just as a line but also as a way of operating.”

I'd lose the comma after "pr" in the supporting line - it's inelegant and unnecessary.

Nice fruit though.

Not sure how this investment in branding is going to beat the credit crunch, but I kind of like it all the same.

Never heard of Crab Creative though? Do Tangerine do their PR by any chance?

I bet they do now.

As usual a PR agency demonstrating that they are stuck in the world of a decade ago. They are clearly stating that they dont understand digital with that website. It's Flash. Don't they like people with disabilities? Aren't they interested in digital PR? What a naive waste of an opportunity. No doubt they will brush aside criticism as jelous agencies bitching but they really are letting the side down.
On the plus side I quite like the creative!
