Although the very idea of visiting a Quilt Museum might be enough to send you to sleep, it appears that there’s a market out there for such an attraction. Liverpool’s Liquid is now bedding itself in (groan, Ed) to help launch the new York-based tourist trap.
Quilty as charged... Liquid, which recently scored high profile success with Medicash, has been brought on board by educational charity The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles to create a branding campaign and get people to wake up to the delights of quilts. The agency has already designed the brand for the museum, which peels back the covers on the industry from 7 June, and completed work on the external signage. Chris Mitchell, MD of Liquid, described it as “a complex brief” but one his team “thrived on.” When open the museum will become home to the largest collection of quilts and related artefacts in the UK. (How-Do would like to take this opportunity to apologise to Liquid for the blanket of poor puns and sheet jokes throughout this story.) www.liquidsolution.co.uk Something to add?
