The theatre operation has appointed Liverpool design and creative agency, Uniform, as its new design and creative agency.
Marketing director Sarah Ogle said: “In the context of the huge changes that are sweeping the city in terms of the profile and investment that the Capital of Culture is bringing, we felt that perhaps our marketing communications material could do with refreshing.
We needed to reconsider our imagery and our primarily printed material. So we decided to start talking to some of the many new design and creative companies that had emerged over recent years in Liverpool.”
A marketing brief was issued to six agencies – all Merseyside based - and a short list of five agencies was drawn up before being whittled down to a final two - Uniform and A.N.Other - which Ogle won’t disclose. The value of the contract is not being disclosed.
“We chose Uniform” said Ogle “because the visual identities they created were excellent and the ideas they came back with were much more in tune with what we wanted.”
In addition to its continuing theatre programme, LPE has embarked on what it calls ‘Capital Development’, a redevelopment of the Everyman theatre, refurbishment of the Playhouse theatre and the addition of new facilities to serve both theatres.
