Lornamead asks Madhouse to ‘revitalise’ Vosene shampoo | Print |  Email to a friend
Tuesday, 06 May 2008
Lornamead, a privately owned manufacturer and marketer of personal products, has commissioned Madhouse to develop a new brand positioning and advertising campaign for its medicated shampoo brand Vosene.

The company, based in Camberley, Surrey, owns a number of ‘heritage’ personal care brands including Harmony hairspray, Yardley bath products and fragrances, Vosene, and breath fresheners Amplex and Gold Spot.

It is an active acquirer of ‘heritage brands’ from large health and beauty companies whose periodic brand reviews leave certain brands no longer part of their corporate ambitions. In total the company owns over 30 brands.

Lornamead, a privately owned manufacturer and marketer of personal products, has commissioned Madhouse to develop a new brand positioning and advertising campaign for its medicated shampoo brand Vosene.
Manchester agency Madhouse was added to Lornamead’s roster of agencies last year. Lornamead was previously primarily using London agencies. The new work for Madhouse follows the work that the Manchester agency recently completed for Lornamead on its teeth whitening brands Rapid White and Brilliant.

Established almost 60 years ago as a dandruff shampoo, Lornamead evidently feels the brand would benefit from a make-over.

Helen Cooper, Lornamead’s marketing director, said: “We have a new concept that taps into our brand heritage whilst giving the range a very up to date look. The website enables our consumers to find out more about their condition and the best product for them and also register for free samples.”

Madhouse Associates’ other clients include Astra Zeneca, Motorola and Toyota Europe.
