Up and coming artist Lou, earmarked by some as ‘the next Francis Bacon’, has signed up Vertigo to increase his profile amongst influential international arts buyers.
Lou's 'Bacon-esque' work The Altrincham based artist, who showcases his talents predominantly with mixed media large canvas works, has created over 100 pieces to date and will be displaying a selection of them, entitled MORE, at the Richard Goodhall Gallery in early 2008.Vertigo, which also handles PR briefs for the gallery, will look to bolster his reputation with ads in publications such as Art Forum, Modern Painter and Art Review, in conjunction with a focused mail out to key industry players. The MORE exhibition explores the attitudes, behaviour and struggle of modern society as consumers seek to derive happiness from their desire for ‘more’. Lou’s work is apparently inspired by, and catalogues, the artist’s battle with heavy addiction. www.vertigopr.co.uk Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
