Love has added a new branch to its creative hierarchy with the introduction of the ‘creative head’ role, which has been filled by Darren Hughes from W&K Amsterdam.
Hughes joins the team fresh from a two-year tenure as senior art director and designer at W&K, where he worked across a range of high profile consumer brands such as Nike, Coca Cola and EA Games. Prior to that he was senior art director at Albion.
In his new role at Love Hughes will sit directly alongside creative directors Dave Palmer and Phil Skegg and be tasked with managing the agency’s creative teams on a day-to-day basis.
He will also be responsible for working directly on some of the firm’s highest profile accounts, including Yorkshire Tea, Nike and Umbro.
Love’s Dave Palmer said of his new colleague: “Finding creatives who can swing effortlessly from design to advertising and be really talented in both areas is a real headache for us, but Darren's background at both Wieden's and Albion gives him that rare ability and makes him perfect for LOVE moving forward.”
