Tourism chiefs on the Isle of Man are bracing themselves for a major launch by Triumph motorbikes .

The company has chosen to do the press day for its latest motorbike on the island, which means dozens of journalists from around the world will be heading over.

In a bid to boost visitor numbers, tourism chiefs have been working alongside the manufacturer to make sure the launch goes well.

With TT fans knowing the island’s reputation, and coverage expected in lifestyle magazines in the UK and USA, insiders reckon the value of the publicity for both the Isle and Man and Triumph could run into 7 figures.
