Manchester's Mark Studio has outperformed a host of major league names in the world of advertising and design to scoop a coveted gold award at this year's Art Directors Club Awards in New York.
Global gold winner from Mark The firm became one of only two UK agencies to nab a gold at the 88th annual awards outing, triumphing in the 'graphic design, promotional' category for its already award winning work for last year's Manchester Comedy Festival. The other UK winner was Turner Duckworth in London for its work on the Coca Cola brand. Agency founder Mark Lester, who was art director and copywriter on the project, was rather bashful about the achievement when he spoke to How-Do, noting only that it was "quite humbling" when the team found out about the win and that there had been "lots of stiff international competition." The photography for the campaign, which has evolved somewhat this year, was by Richard Moran, with additional design work by Daniel Ingham. www.markstudio.co.uk Something to add?
