Mason Williams has realised that there are two things that are going to appeal to any news editor and they are: comedy animal story and puns.
Yes journalists flock to them, ewe wouldn’t believe how many ewe can ram in, particularly for sheep. So, ahead of the first ever Cholmondeley Pageant of Power show this weekend, they’ve decided to give the local sheep earmuffs to protect their delicate little ears from all the noisy engines.
Baa-humbug The press release doesn’t say who rounded up the chosen sheep, however, one suspects there’s a work placement student who’s decided that PR is not for them. "We knew this was going to be a fun campaign when we took it on board," said Rita Rowe, managing director of Mason Williams. "So the key elements of the story had to be as fun as the event itself. The feedback and coverage we have had so far with the help of our woolly friends has spread the message of the first ever Cholmondeley Pageant of Power far and wide – something we will continue to do right up to the morning of the event and beyond." A spokessheep would have said: "baa," that’s if she'd been able to hear our question through her ear muffs. Possibly. The stunt has already been featured in The Sun and Daily Express.
