Manchester and London PR agency, Mason Williams, has won a piece of business worth in excess of £1m.
Agency MD John Williams could not be drawn on what the new business was although he expects to be able to reveal the source shortly.
The agency has also recently engaged the services of Colin Whitehead, formerly FD of and a substantial shareholder in Staniforth PR. Williams scoffed at suggestions that Whitehead was helping to groom the company for a sale. “I’ll be in this business ‘till I die” he joked.
Williams was adamant the initial contract with Whitehead related to the agency’s fast growing digital operation, Brand Attention, which urgently required upgraded management and operational systems putting in place.
He added that the digital side of the business, which includes on line brand protection for companies, was going particularly well and the subsidiary was already working on international projects for household names defending their products against large scale piracy.
