Pam Mapes, previously head of marketing and communications at The London Stock Exchange, is to join MC2 in charge of its new London office. She will report to Sarah Lindgreen, who as How-Do reported on 17/4/07, has joined MC2 to head up its new financial PR service.
The London office will be based at the office of a client, the Quoted Companies Alliance, in the heart of the City. Further developments at the agency are anticipated before the service goes live this summer.
Lindgreen was previously a director Brunswick, one of the UK’s largest specialist financial agencies. At Brunswick she advised over 30 plcs and private businesses. Her experience includes financial calendar and corporate work for retained clients, financial and operational crisis management, fundraising, hostile and agreed transactions, management buyouts and public to private transactions, debt and equity investor relations, media relations and employee relations.
MC2 was established eight years ago in Manchester. The agency has recently started to diversify away from its original financial and professional services roots, but it retains a core number of blue chip clients including Altium Capital, Brewin Dolphin Securities, law firm Cobbetts, accountants Deloitte and Grant Thornton, HSBC, ISIS Capital, WH Ireland, Quoted Companies Alliance and the plcs NCC Group and Cattles.
