MediaCom North scoops ‘biggest individual win’ with massive £18m HomeForm task | Print |  Email to a friend

MediaCom North has confirmed to How-Do that the agency has managed to bring the £18m media planning and buying task for the HomeForm Group onboard, snatching the brief from two of London’s most established media players in the process.

In what an agency spokesperson described as the team’s “biggest individual win” - although not their biggest client, having grown the MoneySupermarket account far beyond the £18m mark – WPP-owned MediaCom North will now handle all the strategy, for all of HomeForm’s brands, across all media channels.

This will see the Manchester-based firm planning and buying for Möben Kitchens, Dolphin Bathrooms and Kitchens Direct.

The spokesperson would not divulge how the budget would be split and across what media – so as “not to give competitors an insight in to their plans” – but did comment that it would be “a very broad media mix.”

He added that despite the win, which takes agency billings far over the £100m mark, MediaCom felt happy with its current resources and would not necessarily be looking to add to its headcount of 50 staff.

The business was previously handled by Leeds-based Brilliant Media, which lost out when Mark Collier arrived at HomeForm earlier this year as marketing director and sought to implement a raft of changes.

As such a media review was instigated in February.

MediaCom was pitted against Walker Media and Carat in the final pitch process, winning through on its sector expertise and what the spokesperson described as “chemistry.”

The creative account for HomeForm is now handled by London-based DLKW, after Manchester’s BCMB lost the business last year.

Great to see such a major account coming to the region. There's been too many big ones migrating over the past year or so, so this is very good news.
