Mediavest Manchester, the region’s largest media independent, has decided to signal its intentions to play on a purely national level by dropping the ‘Manchester’ part of its name.

The move comes as the firm re-launches its website – as reported on How-Do last week – and comes to the end of a supposed 10 month, £50,000 repositioning process.

The crux of the re-brand, superficially at least, appears to be the eradication of the Manchester part of the firm’s name - a move which managing partner Andy Jeal explained:

“By nature of our location, we are often referred to as a regional agency,” he said.

The new agency motto
“We now feel it is time to step away from this regional definition and present ourselves as the national media agency we are.”

As a result the company will forthwith be known simply as Mediavest, although that name will now be accompanied by a “statement or intent”, or motto, which is ‘Get Great Results’, and accompanying visual imagery.

Jeal’s fellow managing partner Dave Lucas elucidated on this front, noting: “We ‘Get Great Results’, there is no clearer way of defining our no-nonsense, accountable, results driven approach to media planning and buying.

“We are a collection of individuals who are passionate about media and who share the same objectives and targets, ultimately to Get Great Results for everyone of our clients.”

Mediavest launched in 1994 and last year became the first agency outside of the capital to surpass £200m in billings.
